3 Places You “SHOULD NOT MISS” Visiting During Your Dalhousie Trip

Dalhousie- A divine place situated in the state, Himanchal Pradesh. The place has been named on one of the British Royals, Lord Dalhousie.

It is believed that this place is one of the favourite spots to spent holidays. In the ancient time, Britishers have paid special attention to Dalhousie and did some work to give it a feel of tourist destination.

This place has abundance of flora and fauna.  Meaning, if you wish to live in peace for few days after regular working life in metro cities then this place has it all.

I personally visited this place during April 2022, and spent good four days to explore this city, and enjoy the cool breeze, hilly mountain view, religious places, local people rituals and gathering, food, and many more.

Giving you a virtual tour of five top places of Dalhousie through this blog.

So, let’s get started:

1. Khajjiar- The Mini Switzerland of India:

Most of us, has already taken the virtual tour of this places through Internet. The awesome pictures of Greenland during summer, and a huge white land view during winters.

While exploring the pictures, we’ve craved to visit this place once. Believe me, when you actually visit this place, you’ll feel awesome.

This place attracts visitors in its first glance. You may sit here for long hours, and will feel the cold breeze and unconditional nature’s affection.

The place has grass all over the place, and surrounded by densely populated pine trees. It has a small pond too within the place.

There is arrangement of some adventure sport like paragliding. Too many cameramen will be available to take your pictures in the traditional attire (Pahadi dressing) or in your actual dress.

Although, picture quality isn’t that perfect, but collecting a few pictures as a memory of the place is worth.

2. Dayen Kund- A Mini Track to Witness the Nature’s Beauty

Want to experience the drone view of the valley? This place is the best to experience the same.

Dayen Kund peak is a mini track that last to a Pahadi Mata temple. The track is simple to walk on. It has resting places in between the track to relax to resume your walk.

Every resting place gives a view from all around. You can take a pause to your walk, wherever you feel, and feel the breeze, mountain view, and greenery in bulk.

It takes maximum of two and half hours to complete the track including temple visit and come back to the origin.

3. Panchpula – A busy market of Dalhousie

Want to shop for family, friend, and yourself? Panchpula is the place.

The place has everything like restaurant, waterfall, adventure sport (zip climbing), wooden stuff shop, suit and Saul shop, etc.

Out of all, the best thing is sitting in a place with foot dipped in cold mountain water, and sipping lemon juice or shake.

Trust me, you must try this and make some sweet memories with your families or friends.

Panchpula is 5 km away from Gandhi Chawk that is next to Subhash Chawk.

Gandhi Chawk has popular church, street shops, and some ancient cafes to sit and relax.

Subhash Chawk is a small place to tour around during night. It has popular Moti Mahal Restaurant to have the best and affordable vegetarian food.

There are several food outlets for non-veg lovers too.

So, why these three places only?

When we travel for so long, we want to explore more and more places during our stay. Dalhousie also has several other spots that can fulfil your hunger of travelling.
